Abstract
To be a human rights defender, a person can act to address any human rights (or rights) on behalf of individuals or groups. Human rights defenders seek the promotion and protection of civil and political rights as well as the promotion, protection, and realization of economic, social, and cultural rights. This course will help us understand and recognize the characteristics of human rights defenders and the governing principles.
About this course
This course will define who a human rights defender is as well as highlight the governing principles of human rights. The course will also offer an in-depth appreciation of the importance of the security of human rights defenders in the course of their work.
What do I learn
By the end of the course, you will be able to understand the principles of human rights and the guiding principles of human rights defending. As an HRD, you will know the importance of security in the course of your work and how to make security a priority.
